If you’re in California (or if perhaps other states have it) there’s a Japanese market called Mitsuwa that most likely carries the matcha kitkat. If not that, then a chain of novelty candy stores called Rocket Fizz has them for sure.

My Japanese penpal sent me a little snack thing for my birthday in Feb, and in it were 4 different kinds of chocolate. One was green, and I didn’t know what flavor it was (I didn’t know what flavor any of them were, and I to figure out each one by taste). The green one was green tea, and it was quite delicious, and I’d eat it again. :D

There is no such things as a kana with a c like that. The only kana with a c in romaji is the chi ち.
When you write it in romanji its Neko. Cat = neko = ねこ(hiragana) = 猫 (Kanji)

Don’t correct people when you don’t know what you are talking about.

Your profession as an educator comes through here… things like seeing that rice press and getting that background info., well I find it enjoying as well as informative anyway.

I’m not a big fan of sweets in general, stateside, overseas, traditional, new, etc… But I love trying new things period. And during my time(s) in Japan, certainly got to do plenty of that.
